Parent Engagement and Leadership was center Stage at the first Day School Parent Summit, sponsored by the Parent to Parent Initiative of The Jewish Education Project Wednesday, March 20th and hosted at the UJA Federation in New York.
The Summit focused on re-envisioning the role of parents in Jewish day schools, moving from the position of consumers and volunteers to the realm of engagement and leadership. The program featured day school parents and professionals from over 15 Jewish day schools representing the diversity of the New York Jewish community. Offering a platform for parent voices and ideas, the Summit focused on the unique contribution of parents and how they can work in partnership with day school professionals and lay leadership to enhance the quality and value of Jewish day school education.
